Top 10 things to STOP doing at the gym (for beginners)
️⃣. Stop thinking that people are looking at you and judging you!! Just because you catch eye contact with someone doesnt mean they were judging you, maybe they happen to look over at the same time or maybe they like what you are wearing. The more you get comfortable at the gym, the less you’ll feel this way.
️⃣. Stop rushing through your workout so you can leave, you are there for a reason. Which is to level up and make yourself better inside and out. Relieve your stress, focus on slow and controlled movements.
️⃣. Stop being embarrassed about the amount of weight you are doing. No one cares if it’s 5lbs or 50lbs. Every starts somewhere and honestly no one is looking at “how much” your doing. Think about this, do you walk around and check/count out how much weight someone is doing? No.
️⃣. Stop comparing your year 1 to someone else’s year 4. They have been doing it longer. Work hard, keep the Intensity, focus on YOU and results WILL COME.
️⃣. Stop thinking that lifting heavy and protein is going to make you “bulky”. It’s only going to help transform your physic more.
️⃣. Stop worrying about looking stupid when preforming an exercise. Don’t let that stop you from performing it. If it does study it, perfect your form, understand how to do it correctly so you don’t hurt yourself.
️⃣. Stop doing the same things over and over again. Take advantage of everything your gym has to offer. Branch out. Make your workouts fun cause chances are you’ll get bored and stop working out all together.
️⃣. Stop walking into the gym without a plan. Knowing what you are going to be lifting BEFORE you get there will help you to get going and have a successful workout instead of standing around for 20 minutes trying to decided what to do.
️⃣. Stop thinking your workout sucked cause you didn’t burn x amount of calories like the day before. Everyone has bad workouts and days they aren’t motivated. Be disciplined. Get it done. At least you did something. Then move on.
🔟. STOP MAKING DAMN EXCUSES of why you can’t. @stroformance@firstname.lastname@example.org
