No time for Average? 🚫
Nope. Sometimes people choose to be Average for a reason.
They choose to be slow, choose to run short distances, choose to be comfortable.
I’m not advocating that we should train with no progress 😒 or be a lazy couch potato 🥔, but everyone has their own targets.
There’s no wrong in their preference; they might have some limitations like an injury or some chronic illness or simply like a slow run. There are so many reasons
It’s really cool to keep an active lifestyle and I hope 🤞🏼 the running community would continue to be inclusive and inspiring to fast and slow runners alike! ✨ #slowisthenewfast#iruncauseican

Total Miles - 180.7
Its pretty hot out here. Got to around 100 for most of the day. Not a lot to see, but you can't expect much of a place that doesn't get a lot of rain. Sam mentioned that the area we were in was probably super fertile- its an area of mostly volcanic rock.
Every child is full of potential and value, but some grow up in an environment that encourages life, and some don't. We have the chance to use our resources to provide another chance for that potential to flourish. An adopted home is a safe place for growth and development. Sow into a childs future by providing the resources to place kids in loving homes.
What a difference almost 7 months make!
Not gonna keep going on about ODM but I’m proud of what me, @thespeedyvet and Sam Morris achieved. Lovely photo with @elmorabityrachid and his brother Mohamed, was a pleasure to meet such iconic runners in the trail world but equally warm, welcoming guys.
Many trail runners or ultra runners you may meet can carry an ego, and that really bothers me. What our bodies go through is TOUGH. Ego needs to be left at the door and you need the physical and mental training to speak for itself, because you can be big headed all you like and that’s when mother ultra will bite you in the ass.

Best of luck to everyone running the Tillamook Burn Trail Run this weekend. Me and family had a blast last year for my wife’s 20 miler and we wish we were out there again this year. Hope everyone has a great time out there! #tbt#daybreakracing
#tbt last year's GOATZ 50k - today I spent a split second thinking ultras weren't THAT important and maybe I didn't really actually love the training, effort and pain it took to finish - then I got my head out of my ass. My next race isn't until June so I have plenty of time to get into shape and get some miles in...and if I ever start thinking this way again I've given friends permission to slap me ❤ #ultrarunning#itsgoodforthesoul

#shoutout today’s shoutout is @margosouthgate ! Absolutely inspiring through and through! Margo taught me what special things a coach does and how to be an amazing friend! So often in your journey to you finish line you encounter obstacles that can derail you.... in fact, you should expect to have to adjust the course along the way! A coach is always prepared to face any obstacle with you and guide you through! With belief that you can make it! In Margo’s case as my coach, she had to pick me back up and try and get me back on track when I was hit by a car about 7 weeks out from #ironman her experience and help got me through the last. Few weeks holding onto as much training as I could in a body that was accident affected. And she never believed I couldn’t do it! It’s the foundation of how I in turn treat people, carrying the belief on and always being prepared for any adjustment on the oath to the finish line! Adapt! Adjust! Sometimes you have to change the road to get there!!! #liveit#fitmum#endurance#endurancetraining#ironmantraining#ironman#coach#trainer#personaltrainer#ultrarunning
Been traveling so much lately (and then working so much when I’m not traveling) that I haven’t run the red trail in a good while. Felt good to squeeze in a loop after work today. Home trails are the best. #percywarnerpark@friendsofwarnerparks

Runners don't quit. We fade; we "hit the wall"; we're sometimes reduced to a walk. But we keep on. [Amby Burfoot] ❤️

Här kommer den perfekta kombinationen för magen inför Fredagsfysen. Kör dessa 4 övningar efter varandra. Börja med 10st/övning. När du är klar med varvet så vila minimalt och kör igen. Totalt 3 varv.
Känner du dig stark så ökar du bara antalet repetitioner. 💪👍
Laiken and I have been having some exceptionally fun mama and son time with Ryan gone in Japan. .
Good luck @ryanghelfi we love you so much and will be thinking of you every moment. So proud of all the sacrifices you put in during this last training cycle. You are our family and without you we are not complete. Start of #UTMF is only 1 hour away. https://utmf.livetrail.net/ this is a good way to follow the race.

Been lax about taking photos on runs 😂 been either suffering hard in the heat or enjoying the scenery. .
Was out at Latta, my favorite local trails, tonight and the trails were so green I couldn’t recognize the route! One of my favorite things about trail running and consistently running the same routes is that you can see, smell, hear and feel the seasons and earth changing. The birds get louder, the trails get more leaf cover, the weather changes from hot to cold to wet to humid, it smells more like fresh dirt, and the reptiles come out! .

Running a marathon is tough. Period. Running those 42+ kms is definitely a test of your physical and mental abilities. But after just 3 Full Marathons, the marathon distance was just not giving me that dopamine rush I craved and had grown so accustomed to.
I wanted to run further and challenge my body and mind to their breaking points. I haven't gotten there yet, but I've found my dose of dopamine in running ultra distances in the mountains where I get to go into a dark corner of my mind only emerging once the race is over. The schedule for the year is set-
1) August - A gruelling, muddy 62kms in the mountains of Coorg.
2) November - 110kms in the coffee plantations of Malnad. Finishing this race will also mean that I qualify for the UTMB CCC® which has been my goal race since I found out what ultra running was.🇨🇭
3) December - Back to the intimidating forts of Shivaji to get my PR on the 50k course.
