Time to order some sports nutrition and wondering if anyone has any thoughts and opinions on the three companies above.
I narrowed my search down to @high5sportsnutrition as I tried a taster pack during my duathlon and really enjoyed the gels and drink powder.
Second is @active_root and with it probably the most cheapest and hoping this doesnt comprise its product which is a ginger based product..(I dont like ginger but may give it a go). And third @projecte2nutrition. I've seen a few people using this product. Looks smart and on par with high5 in terms of pricing and product range.
Has anyone used any of the above and if so what were your thoughts. Also, normal gels or hydro...?! Thanks guys.
A Primeira maratona vc nunca esquece. Principalmente quando recebe um convite pra fazer a primeira ultra, passa na mente todas as dores e abnegações que é treinar pra uma prova dessa.E me perguntam pra que? Porque? A resposta é simples; ora, pq eu amo, me faz bem, essa é a vida eu escolhi, eu sou feliz assim😉. #tbt#maratonadorio#triclub#triathlete#run#teamstark
Taper AKA the love/hate relationship with your mind & your body. IM Australia is on next weekend so it's a good topic to bring up. I have seen many well prepared athletes screwing it all up in the taper for a big race. Why? Because they were feeding their fears. How does this happen? Athletes should be well trained physically and mentally? Many athletes are only prepared physically and once taper arrives and the physical aspect of the preparation has been taken out, they don't know how to deal with emotions like fear, nerves and doubts. They don't know how to deal with a body that all of a sudden feels slow, bloated, sore and lethargic. So often what is the outcome of this? They go back to hard training and well, we know what that leads to. Here is a blog I wrote last year.

Working with athletes at this time of year is exciting! Goals are coming into focus now and all of that hard work is going to pay off.
We can feel the enthusiasm just by looking at some of the athlete comments on TrainingPeaks. One of the team messaged us over the weekend ... “Excited looking at this week’s training. Time to get race ready!” Race ready. How much fun is that?
Last night’s OWS tutorial. It is crazy how different this is from lane swimming. So thankful to get to go to these clinics and get LOTS of tips. Always learning, always pushing outside the comfort zone
What a great Easter weekend that was! Some big miles and big smiles from our team ... and maybe the odd Easter Egg too!

This week, we welcome Daniel Hillier. This super nice guy has a bright future in triathlon and has already achieved heaps in a few months. A good winter and watch out 2019 @melbmara Festival and maybe #IMWA 🙂
A bit about him:
Background in sport:
As a young fella, I always took interest in all sports and found myself always signing up for every sport through my primary and secondary school life.
From the age of 8 until the end of the 2018 season,I had been playing football for my local club.
Throughout those years I always had a strong passion for the game. As I grew into my later teen years I constantly found myself on the sidelines, die to soft tissue injuries and impact injuries to my head.
This was enough to take away my passion from the game and make my put my health first.
Then I found triathlon.
I work full time as a plumber.
When life isn’t swim, bike, run all of the time. I like to get out and have a hit of golf, play with my dog, go for outdoorsy day trips, watch movies and go out to get food at new places.
My goals for 2019 would be to complete my first marathon , become stronger in the swim and be more welcoming of new opportunities.
I would say my strength would be my mental toughness and attitude.
