I truly did not want to get out of bed when the 5:00am alarm sounded off this morning. But, I’m glad I did because this turned out to be a really enjoyable run! I am trying to get back into the groove of doing my runs in the mornings now that it’s warmer out - so far this week I’m 4/4 🥳🙌🏼🎉
Now that I’ve mentioned how it’s getting warmer outside, any other Minnesotans hear about the snow this weekend? Somebody at work told me we are expecting 2 inches Saturday... I’m hoping that’s a joke! 🥶❄️⛄️
Running is often thought of as an individual sport...but we disagree. Running clubs and teammates provide social support, inclusion, and motivation that individuals with developmental differences often struggle to find. Our inclusive running programs celebrate both the physical and social achievements of our athletes! .
I mentioned to someone that I was pleased with my recent 18:10 5k. Their only response was that the course was approximately 30 meters short, and that I must like short courses. 😳😬🙄 Wow. I’m amazed.
I understand and do NOT need to be reminded (which I was) that GPS tracking is usually off a little. The fact remains that I am pleased with my (short) splits—you can swipe to see them. I praise God that I managed to average significantly under the time I’d hoped with not a lot of training, after having worked years (YEARS) to overcome a long and difficult back injury, including spine surgery🔪
Say @drakerelays were to add 30m to the 5k, I’m confident that I could cover less than a third of 100m in fewer than 6 seconds. So I guess I actually ran 18:16. I’d hoped for 18:59. 🤷🏻♀️ The (inaccurate) results give me hope that what I’m doing might be working, and that I might just be able to pull off a faster longer race. 18:10 or thereabouts, makes me believe this a little more.
Dude, I like a footrace, long or short, so be nice.
Thank you @drakerelays On the Roads for a lovely event. #altraredteam#runiowa@altrarunning#runningmotivation#runners#runnergirl#runningclub #zerolimits#embracethespace

Volta à Ilha - Trecho 16 - Praia dos Açores - Morro do Sertão (Morro Maldito) - Tapera - 16,5km
Quem me conhece sabe o meu apreço por subidas, morros, serras e afins 🤪
Tudo conforme planejado! .
