It was my last run before #derbymini on Saturday!! Feeling great after my run yesterday I was looking forward to accomplishing my last easy run. But as the day went on I lost ALL motivation! I was so close to skipping it!
The excuses and lies started to creep in. You know them “this ONE workout won’t matter” this ONE bite doesn’t add up” “I’m not going to reach my goal anyway so why try!” It doesn’t matter how big or clear you goal is, if you bank on yesterday’s motivation, YOU.WILL.QUIT every time.
You have to have accountability.
You have to remind yourself EVERY moment why you won’t take that bite or you will press play or you will say that kind thing to yourself.
I’m not even coming close to reaching the time goal I set 6 weeks ago but everyday I showed up and it’s only failure when you quit. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are getting there as long as you are moving forward you are changing.
One of my goals in training for the #ragnartrail ultra relay was to get in a double run once a week.. that’s been super challenging with kids activities & being a parent. Today I managed it.. 6.3 stroller miles.. solid run at a 9:20 pace.. felt heavy & hard but got it done. Picked up kids and managed another 7 miles while waiting for the track meet to start.. totaling 13.3 miles today. Not bad for a Thursday. 🏃🏻♀️ #strollerrun#running#catholicwomenrun#mommyandme

I’m already feeling bored of this taper. Get me to this race! Also I was so indecisive on where and when to run today. I’ve been attempting to get an easy crown on a segment nearby but somehow the route isn’t getting recorded even though I’m almost positive I’m starting and ending in the right spot. 🤷♀️

Day 1 of lifting and started out really light. I feel good and my legs feel like jello! I’m basically starting from scratch because I haven’t done a single workout since I found out I was pregnant. But it was very therapeutic to get back into my workouts ☺️
5 miles today with 3 progressive tempo in the middle (8:33, 8:26, 8:15). I haven't run since Monday and my HUSBAND (it's still weird to say that 😍) asked if I was ok last night because I hadn't run in two days 🤣
I've really been trying to make myself NOT run more to get ready for the marathon NEXT WEEKEND!! Other than the heat today, these miles felt goooood.
However. Does anyone else ever have issues with their Garmin GPS???? There is a spot where I run and most times, its like the GPS goes out and my times shoot WAY up for long enough to throw off my current mile time and avg pace. I have a forerunner 235 and usually use the GPS+GLONASS and I've tried just regular GPS with similar results 🤔🤔🤔 anyone have thoughts or suggestions?
And then I came home and instead of snakes today, we have a GORGEOUS iris that bloomed! 😍😍 🌺🌺 One more day of work tomorrow, then last long run coming up on Saturday!
