"We all have to live on this planet together so we might as well be friendly " -Jimmi. We have to take care of each other, look out for one another, be compassionate and love the beautiful people in our lives, baby girl.
"You may have tangible wealth untold. Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold. Richer than I you can never be — I had a mother who read to me." — Strickland Gillilan
We have been reading during our night time routine lately so I got a bunch of really fun books from our library. I remember going to the library all the time as a kid, and coming back with stacks and stacks of books. There are so many talented authors and illustrators out there. I swear sometimes these books are for my enjoyment more than hers - I have barely had the bandwidth to sit down and enjoy a book of my own lately, so these have helped me scratch the reader itch. I'll eventually remember, book by book, all my childhood favorites and get them from the library, too. I even started an IG account that posts all the fun books we read (I'm very behind on updating it, be aware): @readingtodaphne . I have so many memories with books and reading and hope she grows up surrounded by them, as well. Here are two more reading to children quotes that caught my eye and spoke to my literary soul : "Children are made readers on the laps of their parents." — Emilie Buchwald "Fill your house with stacks of books, in all the crannies and all the nooks." — Dr. Seuss

When the boys ask for one of their Easter treats and they get the, "My butt hurts... I can't hear you" joke. Kinda sorry, kinda not 😬 -
I took this photo because this little monkey is going to be crawling in what will feel like the blink of an eye. She's rolling, scooting backwards, and getting her core off the ground. I didn't expect it to happen this fast, but I guess that's the motto for parenting, huh?
I constantly get comments about how much the boys look like Daddy. I agree, especially Cole. He’s Adam’s mini me. Jake has a few more of my features but there’s no doubt they’re Adam’s boys. 😂 •
However, they have my blue eyes. Big, bright, very blue. I get them from my mom (she thought mine would be brown like my dad’s) and she gets them from her dad. Love that a trait from my sweet Grandpa has been passed down to my kids. I think have good reason to believe that someday my grandkids might have them too. 😉 #stronggenes
Being a parent is tough and I’m officially exhausted! I no longer have any me-time, it takes us hours to get ready to go out and make-up is a luxury... but it’s the best and most rewarding experience and I wouldn’t change it for the world! ❤️ #newmum#newborn#parenthood#motherhood#babycuddles

How many of you have tried to discern your children’s enneagram types? I am almost positive that this gal is type 7 and is for sure sanguine. Which, interestingly enough, is great for my 1ness because in a healthy state I grow towards a 7. No wonder she can snap me out of my negative tendencies (like being too serious and intense).
Ultimately, God alone knows our children fully so it is to Him that I try to turn to in regards to loving them best. Personality types is a helpful tool but will never illuminate my path in parenthood like Scripture & the Holy Spirit✨.
