How do you you describe something you are a part of that moves at such a thrilling and perspective shifting pace? It’s joyful, chaotic, enriching and confusing at times. In the moments of trepidation, the others in this pack are there to lift you up - urge you to keep it up, pick it up and at times lead. These team members multiply and before you know it, you are part of a something like a swarm moving with momentum and excitement. You do all that you can to maintain and push the pace so that all those around you can continue to feel the power and wonder of what is going in directions you can only dream. Felt such incredible appreciation for team North America at @on_running ‘s Global meeting this week. Let’s continue to sponsor the human spirit in everything we do. #runonclouds#nevernoton#onrunning#onarunnershigh
2 days to go until @vitalitylondon10k. It’ll be the first time I’ll have worn the Cheltenham Harriers vest since January 2018 and I can’t wait to represent my amazing club again.
I’m feeling fit but have been battling against a cold/sore throat that is trying to creep in and spoil my fun. Hopefully it’ll be gone by Monday. If not, at least I have my excuses firmly in place already. 😝
This race will be interesting because I have no idea what pace to go for. So it could go either way...I go out too fast and die or go to slow, which although will lead to a comfortable race, may leave me wishing I had done more.
Having said that, my current race PBs for 5000m and 10,000m have all come about from starting slow and speeding up so it’s probably not a bad idea to go with this plan.
Good luck to anyone racing this weekend. Let’s make it a good one!

Trial run for parkrun - Kashiwanoha
2 weeks until official launch of the second parkrun in Japan
CONGRATS to Robbie who has finished his last 45 mile day today! The next 5 days he will taper down his mileage. Tomorrow he *only* has to run 41 miles.
It was an eventful day today. This morning started out in Lancaster with a lovely visit from Cindy (@stone3024 ) who came and caught up with us in the camper. She works for the local news station @wgal8 and tipped them off about Robbie coming through and soon after her visit a reporter and videographer called me and showed up to interview and film Robbie as he went through Lancaster! Pretty cool!
Early afternoon Robbie was having some gas pains that seemed relatively severe, but luckily they passed very quickly - phew!
In the afternoon a childhood friend of Robbie’s, Jeff, came out from Philly to run with Robbie! He drove out about 2 hours and put in 14 miles with him! Thanks @jdubyasmalls !!
Then in the evening Becky Hinckle showed up with a back seat full of seriously fresh and delicious vegan treats, dinners, snacks, THE WORKS. It was some of the best food any of us had had. Just so fresh. She is such a genuinely good human being and came all the way out there just to help and support us. Thanks girl! Last time I saw her she took me and Jamie into her home during our AT hike - true trail angel that one.
I finished out the last 8 miles with Robbie and Jeff rolling into Reading, PA. We are definitely in a city and the road today was FULL of Memorial Day traffic. The traffic is so taxing on Robbie and all of us. .
Happy to get some more visitors out tomorrow and this weekend! It’s exciting as we wrap this adventure up! .
First FTP test last night, OMG! It was so tough! @canyon Black Beauty got to endure my grunts for that last 5mins, and I’m pretty sure she is deaf by now.
Having to clock a long run this morning at a fresh leg pace is so challenging, especially with the heavy legs. Many times, we felt like giving up. But thanks to the coach and Choo Choo train, we survived! Thank u all! Time to recharge before the swim set.
IT’S ALMOST TIME! Summer marathon training starts in 16 days so I went over to @fleetfeetlakeview and got fitted for a new pair. I ran last year’s @chimarathon in the Nike Zoom pair and wanted to see if there was anything else I could try out. Successfully fitted for this pair of @on_running kicks. I’m super pumped to take these out for a test run this long weekend ☁️ 🏃🏻♀️ happy training!
This will be the early part of the Everest Marathon. I shot this from our helicopter flying over Base camp, just below the Khumbu icefall... before the Sherpa trails get steep and narrow. This will be the easiest part of the race as far as footing, but the hardest for altitude, as it will be almost 18,000ft elevation- so roughly half the oxygen available at sea level. To put it in perspective... the pilots fly wearing supplemental oxygen so they don’t pass out. Katie kept passing out while we were there (because we went straight from Kathmandu without being acclimated) so we had to keep putting the oxygen on her. 🤷♀️ I plan to take this part kind of slow. 🤣 #myreturntoeverest#MarathonTraining#everestmarathon2020#ThisIs40#OnRunning#RunOnClouds
