Bang Bang these Tofu Lettuce Wraps shot me down! 😩
Bang bang sauce is one of my favorites. Sweet, spicy and creamy for the perfect balance of bold flavor. I originally had this sauce on shrimp 🦐 (super yummy!), but since I’m cutting down on meat, I chose tofu as the protein for the lettuce wraps.
I love to crusting my tofu with quinoa for extra texture and crunch. Topped with green onion and red pepper and wrapped in lettuce makes for an extra light and crisp meal. Have as many as you’d like with little guilt! ✨
🌶 Add habanero peppers for an killer spicy kick.
🚫🥩 Meatless meal tips:
🥑 Add avocado for a heartier and more filling meal.
😋 Make the quinoa-crusted tofu nuggets on their own as a great substitute for chicken nuggets.
🧂🌶 Use sauces and spices to add bold flavor to tofu.
"Nunca te rindas porque las grandes cosas llevan tiempo"
Hoy frase de motivación (sacada de whi) porque estuve ocupada estudiando, y para los tiempos de parciales que corren, me parece ideal. ¡No te rindas!
Sorry for not posting too often! I went with my family on a "road trip" this past weekend so I didn't get much of a chance to letter. I tried my best to make this look smooth, even though I did this during the car ride back home! 😋
Shoutout to my sister @creative.elaine for sacrificing her arm muscles to help me with this picture ✌️❤️

🙏🏼Pray for them.🙏🏼 This phrase stood out to me this past Sunday. Do you pray for others? What about for your spouse? Our pastor reminded us to pray for our partners this weekend. I was then reminded to pray for those people that we aren’t as fond of and even those who hurt us. Let’s pray for them, too!
One of the prompts suggested to me from my stories was how I got into lettering. So here it is!
I’ve always played around with my handwriting and type when I was younger. That stuck with me, leading me to take a typography class in college. Dropped out after the first day but finished that class for the one semester. (Was going for graphic design)
In the fall of 2015 I started brush pen lettering and my Instagram. Swipe to see my first lettering piece I posted! I used a pointed pen and yikes! Still have a tricky time with those.
At some point I came across Kristina of @starofmay . She did some lettering videos on YouTube and I was in love! So I started using brush pens for a couple years I think and post daily.
By this point I was head over heels in love with lettering and the community on Instagram. Probably wouldn’t have continued lettering if not for the kind and supportive people that have followed me through this journey! 😘
Watercolor lettering was my next endeavor. Loving how I could sketch out a design first and trying out different styles of lettering! Everything was pretty much self taught. Took a few skillshare classes a year or two ago but mainly just dissected packaging designs and pieces on Pinterest.
That’s pretty much it! I’ll do a follow up post on how I got into pottery, so another novel comes your way! •
Now I’m curious, have you ever tried lettering? If so what’s your story?
Definitely my greatest art accomplishment so far- this piece is for the bridal suite at The Columns at Six Penny Farm at @brixandcolumnsvineyards & a print will be gifted to each couple getting married at their venue accompanied by a Sixpence coin!
Ok so this photo was taken at Disneyland Paris but because I couldn’t letter all over their resort (even though that would have been so much fun), I added the lettering and doodles in procreate. 2 hours later and I am happy with the outcome. I think. I could have waited until I got home and taken the picture here but it wouldn’t have been the same and in all honesty, I planned on posting this a lot sooner than I have.
Kids break up this week for half term so next week will be fun. I am ready for another holiday but have nothing planned yet 🤷🏻♀️ Have you got any holiday plans?
Just a lil #wip for ya on this fine Tuesday ✏️
I’ve had a bit of an epiphany recently - I am sooo much more creative and expressive when I work in small dimensions. Anyone else feel this??
I just got this adorable lil @mujiusa notebook a couple of weeks ago, and I’m having so much fun practicing my analog lettering skillz with it. I’m excited to see how really intentionally practicing with pencil and paper will elevate my digital lettering game.
More to come on this idea 🌿
