A hour of kettlebells before a short day at work! Today is going to be extra hectic with an event pre-walkthrough, an hour in the office, and then sprinting to the store and home to pack myself and the dogs up! I have to cram all that in and still make it to my dad's house tonight, but I'm not letting being busy stand in the way of being healthy anymore!

I was talking to a friend yesterday about my struggle with being a Diabetic, nutrtion, yo-yo dieting, looking for fast fixes and binge eating, she listened. She said that I will always have her love and support BUT "Only I can change my life, No one can do it for me." Yes, I have been told that before but this time it is like a door was busted down and my AHA moment showed its pretty little head. She is so right!!! It is me making all of the choices for my body and my life, therefore I WILL change them. God and I got this!
Your body is a temple and your mind is the architect. Every great structure requires a strong base to stand the test of time. Thus, leg day should never be skipped! I back squat atleast once a week, but love throwing in variations like this to emphasize focus on lower body muscle groups that arent activated as much during back squat. p took a major digger the other day. there was a metal balance beam thing at a playground & she of course “didn’t need help”. (me: a ball of nerves) she got to the end, looked up & said “look at me!” then her boot slipped. (think about those gymnastics bloopers you’ve seen where they straddle the beam on their poor butts) lost her breath, lots of tears & a big welted sore bruise on the inside of her leg. when we got home she said “mumma, do you have an oil for my leg?” whipped this up: cypress (for circulation- which brings nutrients & oxygen to an injured area), lavender (for soothing) & vetiver (anti-inflammatory). it felt SO good to have these little bits of knowledge up my sleeve & it also felt good to have a resource to double check with. this blend also felt really relaxing applied to both of our chests. i seriously felt like such an educated, empowered, mom hero. #momwin
