Bubba Update: I mentioned in my stories this morning that our #20weeks Scan showed that bubba’s tummy is a little small in comparison to it’s head & legs! It’s noting to worry about at this stage but our obstetrician is sending me back for another scan in 4 weeks just to make sure the tummy is still growing OR even better had caught up to the rest of the body! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I guess the only time we would start worrying is if in 4 weeks time the tummy hasn’t continued growing but I’m confident that bubba will pull through #positivevibes 💕
Also the reason I still haven’t felt any movement at 21.5 weeks is because my placenta is at the front meaning I have an extra layer that bubba has to kick/punch through! So I guess he/she needs to get stronger before I’ll feel anything 💁🏼♀️
We’re just packing the car & then off up the coast for the weekend with the fam 🏕 Camping...in a caravan park...with showers & toilets 😆🙌🏻 But looking forward to a relaxing & fun weekend away ✌🏻
For the last 10 days I've been in a training program learning how to fight wildland fires. Out of this program, I was offered a job in my community as a #wildlandfirefighter .
I've had some time to reflect on this major blessing and I cannot understate the importance of #God in this opportunity. Truly, my prayers were answered and I was successful.
I've also learned that I need to improve my fitness level. I'm not totally out of shape, but I am showing up at less than I am capable.
Don't get me wrong. I'm incredibly proud that, just a month ago, I couldn't put my belt on and now I don't even have to hold my gut in (because it's smaller lol) - but I want to be better. I want to be the one people can trust, on that line.
So it's back to work. Always striving for more and NEVER being complacent - on the job, or in our #training .

Not only did I get my ass to the gym the last four days, I also ran a 8min 35sec mile yesterday and attempted front squats today for the first time in .. 4 years? 👍🏻 •
Finding a rhythm and healthier attitude with the gym again. I'm not going because I ate this and that and need to work it off. I'm going because I understand how important it is to move my body every day •

◾️And when working out, it is so so so important to keep stretching and keep every loose over letting it get tighter and tighter. You’ll eventually end up hurting yourself. Think of your muscles and ligaments as rubber bands, the tighter they get, they’ll eventually break. .

En esta oportunidad les traigo una alternativa para llevar su almuerzo a cualquier lugar. Esta receta es super fácil de hacer y personalmente me dio mucha saciedad.

Para 4 porciones
✅900 gr de camarón pelado
✅2 tazas de tomates cherry
✅1 aguacate picado
✅4 cebollas picadas
✅Jugo de 2 limas
✅1 puñado de cilantro picado
✅1 cda de aceite de aguacate o de oliva
✅Sal y pimienta a gusto
✅2 tazas de arroz integral cocido
Para la mezcla de especias para barbacoa:
✅1 cdita de pimentón ahumado
✅1 cdita de comino molido
✅1/2 cdita de cayena en polvo
✅1/2 cdita de ajo en polvo
✅1/4 cdita de sal a gusto
📌En un tazón grande de vidrio, coloquen los ingredientes de los condimentos para camarones y barbacoa y revuelvan suavemente para combinarlos. Dejan de lado por unos minutos.
📌En otro tazón, agreguen los tomates picados, aguacate, cebolla, cilantro, jugo de limón, sal y pimienta. Muy suavemente tiran para combinar. Dejar de lado.
📌Calienten el aceite en una sartén grande a fuego medio-alto. Agreguen los camarones y cocinen por 1 o 2 minutos por cada lado o hasta que se vuelvan rosados y formen una bonita carbonización en los puntos como se muestra en la imagen.
📌Agreguen 1/2 taza de arroz integral cocido a su recipiente.
📌Luego, dividan los camarones cocidos y la salsa de aguacate de manera equitativa entre los 4 tazones o los recipientes para la preparación de comidas, como se muestra.
📌Sirvan inmediatamente o refrigeren por hasta 3 días.
