Today I just did not.want to.... I truthfully thought I would take the day off 😴.. cause honestly we all need those days🗓 sometimes..
And my inner monologue almost had me convinced. Eventually I decided to do just one round of my exercises.. my triple a workout so I knew I would get a pretty good workout .. then I decided after the first round maybe I could just do one more.. and then... the workout was complete. And honestly feel so much better 💪 for getting it done. Yes it took 45 minutes out of my day. But convincing myself not to do it took longer. 😂 #innermonologue#getitdone#triplea#justdoit#dayoff

Part of this journey for me includes inspiring other aspiring entrepreneurs/visionaries/ideas people create what they have in mind. Everyday has its challenges for me and yesterday it was to completely switch my daily routine around but I did it to accommodate to what was important. Some people look at what I do and think it’s easy to get up and do a workout everyday.. Nope it’s not the little birdies went off in my head yesterday and said do you really want to workout when you get home from work? Heck yes.. Push those negative thoughts away and got it done! “What starts as a small win or a minor setback accumulates into something much more.” (James Clear)

HOW TO GET IN AN EFFECTIVE WORKOUT IN 40 MIN OR LESS👇🏻
I’m sure I speak for a lot of you when I say we don’t alwaysss have time to spend an hour or more in the gym
BUT that doesn’t mean you can’t still get in an amazing workout with the time you have!
Whether it’s the week day & you’re busy with work on the daily, or it’s the weekend and you want to stay in your routine but also want to prioritize family + friend time, here’s 4 main tips to not only get in a quick workout but ALSO make it super effective🙌🏻
HAVE A PLAN🏃🏼♀️
Whether it’s a workout at the gym or at home, go into it knowing exactly what exercises you’ll be focusing on instead of just some cardio and a few random machines (if you need help with this just DM me!)
ELIMINATE DISTRACTIONS 📲
What I really mean is, put yo phone away! I see sooo many people sitting on machines at the gym just scrolling on their phones..not only is this reducing the intensity of your workout bc on extended rest time, but it’s adding on easily an extra 10-15 minutes in general
SET A TIMER⏰
If you know you only have 40 minutes to get in a workout, set a timer on your phone for exactly when you need to be finished! By doing this you’re a lot more laser focused on getting done all that you can within that time
CIRCUITS + SUPERSETS🏋🏼♀️
These two will be your best friend If you don’t know what these are, a circuit is basically combining 2-3 movements together & performing them back to back, for a certain amount of rounds. For example:
Leg press x12
Walking lunges x20
Jump Squats x20
You’d repeat each movement in order, repeating 3 times. Similarly, a superset is combining two specific movements together back to back, for a certain amount of rounds. For example:
Lateral Pull downs x10
Assisted Pull Ups x12
With both circuits + supersets you only rest between sets, not between movements & this saves you SO much time no matter what workout you’re doing or where!
Ya girl is off to the gym herself & on a time crunch so will definitely be implementing these tips🤟🏻

We’re celebrating the last day of school like... —
We made it!!! While most parents are probably dreading the last day of school and trying to figure out what they’re are going to do with their children, not me! I am embracing this day and summer vacation! —
Why, because we made it! We made it through one of the most challenging seasons in our school season history...
We made it through homeschooling and being the classroom parent and volunteering at the school because they needed extra help...
We made it through after school homework, school projects and overnight field trips... —
We made it through lost uniforms, jackets, two pairs of brand new eyeglasses and several growth spurts...
We made it through traveling back and forth on the freeway from the Southside to Sunnyvale and then back to the office multiple times a week...
We made it through after school sports and being the team mom and trying to build a business at the same time and a single mom ministry at church... —
We made through fussing, punishment, threats of punishment and threats on the lives of some... —
We made it through “Mom, can you take me here”, “Mom, can you pick me up”, “Mom, Can you call me an Uber?”
We made it through you can do it, you got this, I believe in you, I’m proud of you, not just saying to myself, but to them too!!! 😂 —
We made it with 3 of the 4 on HONOR ROLL!!! God I thank you!!! Vacation is that you playa? I’m seeing somewhere tropical in the near future. Tropical, tranquil, lots of sun and no school!!!! Because WE MADE IT!!!!!
I think one of the often-unwanted side effects of long course training is that it forces you to consider what you are really about, what you are willing to sacrifice, and how much you are willing to hurt. Now I know that social media is a world of filters, falsity and 'fake news' - but this is what I realised today: I am about squeezing every drop of juice out of life. I am about saying 'wow that went horribly wrong' instead of 'how I wish I had done that'. I am about being the best male role model for my baby girl that I could possibly be. I am about being open, honest, real, and showing that sometimes it's ok to admit our weakness. I am about love. I am about family, and telling those that mean the world to me that I love them. I am about sweat in my eyes and a burn in my legs. I am about coffee and chocolate. I am about loyalty and freedom and respect and trust. I am about being better than I was yesterday, every damn day.
