Lost last weeks gain and then some!!😁 this past week I enjoyed a friend’s grad party, a birthday AND taking my mom out for Mother’s Day and I STILL lost weight🤩 I was able to still enjoy everything food-wise, while still keeping balance. This weight loss is on the slower side, but I know it’ll be for long term since I’m learning how to balance 🎉🥂
I promote a lifestyle of health. It is my claim to have taken radical responsibility for my health and well-being. And it is my greatest passion to invite others to do the same and then walk through that journey with them.
I never claim to have figured it all out. I see this as a lifelong journey.
With all of that being said, let me admit that I'm struggling to get serious about my commitment to sleep. I've settling for good enough. Maybe that's because it's better than so many of the people I talk to. Perhaps it’s because I haven't consciously experienced any immediate consequences. And let me be honest, I just don't want to make changes around my habits in this area.
I've recently been challenged to identify one, from the 6 Macro-Habits of Health (those things that truly must be the rocks in our jar if Optimal Health is to be achieved) to work on for a period of 45 days. It is part of our training in our newly revised Habits of Health Transformational System that will be released later this year. I have chosen sleep.
I've been inviting others to take this journey with me. Community is great for accountability, encouragement, and support.
I'll be posting more about Healthy Sleep and Energy Management. It will keep me focused and on track. And I know I am not alone. Is sleep an area in your life where improvement is needed? 55/365. This is very frustrating to me because lately my Fitbit sleep tracking has been off. Last night I went be bed very early after taking a sleeping pill because the previous night I had gotten up at one am due to insomnia and stress and I wanted a good night’s sleep. I synced my tracker this morning to see how long I slept last night and I frickin got this. I went to bed around 6:30pm and I fell asleep immediately, it should not say this. It didn’t track any of that which makes me upset but it does say the tracker couldn’t get a consistent heart rate so that’s why. I’m probably going to tighten the band on my tracker at night by just one notch so that it can track my sleep hopefully better because I don’t sleep well due so stress and tracking my sleep is very important to me.
