So I was commissioned to do senior recital posters and it always makes me nervous to get paid doing photography or design. I never know how things are going to end up and really it comes down to a lack of experience. I do, however, like making the project personal so this was sort of a first attempt at my own ideas while incorporating references to the subject too.
It was the first time I used my lighting equipment so it took a while to figure things out. It was also the first time I went and got posters printed and tried a couple different places. Each place was priced differently and had different quality/looks. Prints come out differently than what your files look like and I'll have to adjust my files to compensate. All things considered, I learned a lot and I'm pretty happy how it all came out.
After The Burial from this week's show in Colorado Springs. They played an awesome set which I've been waiting years to see and hear performed live. Was worth the wait.
