First sprint triathlon. Short distance. Maybe my worst physical condition in my life but was ok. Very afraid for the swimming fraction also because I could only train 30 'a week. Very nice experience. Many thanks to Effetto Triathlon Shop. They helped and assisted me in all. Nr1!!!! BeFurious

Remember Choose Your Own Adventure books from the 1980s? The ones where you got to decide the direction and ending of the story? That's your life, my friends! The adventure part varies from person to person, but ultimately - YOU get to decide what that means for you. Your adventurous life may be different than mine, and that's totally cool. But let me be clear - there are adventures out there for you to explore. I am living mine - what's yours? #adventure#embraceyourextraordinary#findyourfun

Ahead of the World Duathlon Championships next week we've been catching up with some current British European and World Champions who will be returning this year in Pontevedra. First up is current and two time 50-54F European Sprint Duathlon Champion Cathy Dawson.. who also won the world title back in 2016. She gave us her thoughts ahead of the race. -
*You've raced every world championships since 2015 and the last time you went in as European Champion you won it! Does that give you confidence this year?* -
Yes, I’m feeling confident that I’m going to give it 100% as I do in every Championship race. -
*American world champion Cynthia Abrami is back this year. You lost out her in a tight finish in that race. Are you planning to do anything differently this time?*
It was a tight finish but I knew I wasn’t 100% running fit last year, so I hope that things will be different in Pontevedra.
- *How would you rate your build up to this year's race? What's your killer session?*
It’s been a tough start to the year having been injured since the New York Marathon last November (just 2 weeks after winning the European’s). But my training has been back on track and I’ll be on the start line knowing I’ve done everything I can to be competitive.

Check out how everyone's predictions at Seattle and Citi Field turned out! For some reason, @tveerman_ocr still hasn't been getting any respect from the voters, and barely anyone saw @johnnylunalima having a breakthrough race in Seattle either. Meanwhile, the usual Fab 5 women from 2016-2018 returned to dominance by sweeping the top-5.
Congrats to @shnagel_125 for being the new US Series prediction leader after 3/5 events. There was a tie for 1st for Seattle between @warriorninjakhaleesi
and Trevor Mesick. Also, it turns out I'm better at predicting Citi Field results (1st) than actually racing (7th). Be on the lookout for the Big Bear prediction contest in a couple weeks!

Scottish National Duathlon Championships 🥇Ewan Brown🥈Nicholas Allen🥉Andrew Woodrooffe
Fast running Ewan Brown cruised to a comfortable victory in Stirling to claim the Scottish National title by 4 minutes. Brown, who once finished in the top 5 elite men at British Duathlon Championships, ran 2 minutes faster than anyone else on the opening 10k. Chasing athletes made no more than superficial gains on the bike allowing Brown to cruise to a comfortable victory. The battle behind however was raging with several athletes in the mix. After a steady first run it was Alistair Robinson who led the charge, posting the fastest bike split of the day to ride up into 2nd. However the pace was too hot on the final run as Robinson slipped back to finish 8th. With Edinburgh teammate Paul Kerr not on the start line it was up to teammate Nicholas Allen to take up the mantle. Allen and Woodrooffe spent most of the final run neck a neck, but it was Woodrooffe who blinked first as Allen pulled away in the closing stages to take second by 9 seconds. Nonetheless it was an encouraging performance from the young athlete who has 3 top 10 finishes from 7 age-group internationals to his name in the 20-24s, but is yet to break into the top 5. Speaking after the race Ewan said to @triathlonscotland "I know I’m strong at running, I got into a bit of a lead there and I would try and hold on from that. It seemed to work out alright.”
We now head to Pontevedra, Spain to take a look ahead for the first race of the international season.. The World Duathlon Championship!
"Be the girl who decided to go for it. Great things never came from comfort zones" 💪📍😍🏃♀️

A massive smile on the finish line of the World Champs despite knowing an instant DQ after loosing my number between T1 and getting on the bike, a hard fact to swallow but continued to race and concentrated on racing hard whilst enjoying it (apart from the sob to the official in T2!) Great race Great people Great location and I’ll be back 🙌🏻 (with a stack of backup numbers in transition 😆) #wtsgoldcoast#worldchamps#agegroup#triathlon#mistakeshappen#stillsmiling#goldcoast Great picture from @wags.photo 📸
