LET’S TALK SHOES ... 👟
Not every trainer is equal... because not every foot or athlete is the same
We have different needs based on our personal body mechanics and let’s face it how it looks is important as well 💃🏽🕺🏻
I’ve traded up from my @brooksrunninguk GTS 19s to the Levitate 2s and my Achilles is singing 😁
When you do as much activity as I do you need to make sure you have the best kit for you, good kit improves performance and helps prevent injury... old trainers that have gone through 250/300miles need replacing 🗑
If you’re thinking about running DO IT! But before you start it’s a good idea to pop into your nearest running store and get a little check up 👣
. @runnersneed@nikelondon@sweatshoprunning@runandbecome1@therunningworksldn all offer quick assessments on your running style to give you ALL the information you need so you get the right kind of trainers for you... PLUS no pressure to buy either 😊
Running fitness helps in everyday life and scenarios ... ALSO if you’re a crossfitter like me you’ll get a little edge in training/comps if you have good aerobic capacity and can run for speed/distance 😉
The Weathers getting better guys ... get out there and run ... it’s free!

This week is my Vegas week, both for work, fun, and running a full Marathon! I haven’t been doing too much running this week as it is my taper week and i am cutting my mileage down by 80%. I ran 5K this morning on the beautiful-and-fun-to-run #lasvegasstrip , starting my run at 6:30am. There were quite a bit of runners out here! I bet running the Las Vegas strip is a dream run for many people :) Race day is 2 days away and today is my biggest #carboloading day. 😆😋😋. I wish everyday can be like today when i don’t have to worry about how much i am eating!
Stay tuned and check out my instastory for the marathon coverage. It is going to get as high as 96F on race day! 🥵 i hope i’ll survive!

"I just dont want to look back and regret. I need to feel this change, for good, now. I've made a pinky promise to me that this is our year... me, myself, and I." 🌎
After a trip to the docs yesterday, I decided to get myself back up and running again. She reckons it's my old injury flaring up as a result of trying to do too much too soon. She's probably right as I'm impatient. She also advised me to see s podiatrist. .
I've been doing foot & ankle rehab exercises over the last week and today I tried running for the first time in a month. Took it really easy. 5 min walk on treadmill then intervals of 60 secs jog and 60 secs walk for 20 mins finishing with a 2 min walk and a good stretch.
No pains. It felt really good actually. Now to gradually build it back up.
No rush. Just need to do it right this time so I do not injure myself again.

When looking back doesn’t interest you anymore... you’re doing something right. 60 minutes easy running and a little heart to heart with myself. Skyline 10k and Wonder Woman 5k is on for the weekend! #ColtStrong#wonderwomanbr#bibchat#mckirdytrained
I leave for one afternoon and this one steals my @pulseroll 🙄. Get your own vibrating roller @kellogs_ontherun.
Let’s start with saying this is an AD as the roller was gifted to me. When @pulseroll contacted me to try their foam roller, I thought to myself why do I need another roller? I don’t use the three I already have nearly enough. Their response was it vibrates.
If I’m honest I thought who cares? This sounds like a gimmick to me. But I thought I’d give it a shot, especially as my calves have been playing up.
Well when it arrived I found out that this roller was a bit of a game changer. Why? Because you don’t need to roll 😱. You apply the roller to tight areas and let the vibrations do their thing. So I got stuck in on my calves and rather than being embarrassed by my weedy runner’s arms giving up as I try to balance and roll, I just put my legs on and applied some pressure.
It feels a bit weird and there are 4 strength settings but I kind of enjoyed it and my calves feel a lot better. It’s too early for me to give the product a glowing recommendation but I will keep using it; if I can get it back off Kelly; and let you know my full thoughts soon.
Has anyone else tried this roller?
